Terms of Use

1.Accepting these terms, and changes to them

Browsing the site means you accept these terms. Creating an account means more than that: you are asked to tick a box confirming you have read and agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy, and we record the date and the version you agreed to. You cannot create an account without doing so.

We may update these terms — for example when we add a feature or a law changes. The date at the top always shows the current version. If a change materially affects your rights, we will announce it on the site and, where the change requires it, ask you to agree again. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, stop using the site and ask us to close your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

2.What Finsyal is — and is not

Finsyal is an independent comparison service. We are not a bank, lender, insurer, broker, or financial adviser. We are not regulated as a financial institution, we do not arrange credit, and we do not accept applications on any provider's behalf.

Nothing on this site is financial advice or a recommendation to take a particular product. Whether a product suits you depends on your own circumstances, which we do not know. Consider getting independent advice before committing to a financial product.

3.Accuracy of the information

Rates, fees, terms and eligibility rules are gathered from providers' published material and from official sources, and are refreshed regularly. They can change without notice, and a provider may quote you something different based on your own profile.

Figures produced by our calculators — including effective annual rates, monthly payments and total overpayment — are estimates for illustration. They are not offers and not a guarantee of what you will be charged.

Always confirm the final terms directly with the provider before you sign anything. If you spot something wrong on the site, tell us with the 'Report an error' link and we will check it.

4.Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Give accurate information when you register, and tell us if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

We may suspend or close an account that is used to break these terms, to abuse the review system, or to harm other users.

5.Reviews and other content you post

Reviews must describe your own genuine experience. Do not post anything false or misleading, anything defamatory, abusive or discriminatory, anyone's personal data (including your own account numbers), advertising, or content you have no right to publish.

You keep ownership of what you write, and you give us a licence to display, translate, and distribute it on the site. We may decline, edit for length or clarity, or remove content that breaks these rules, and we moderate submissions before publication.

6.Acceptable use

Use the site as an ordinary visitor would. In particular, do not:

• scrape, harvest or bulk-copy the comparison data, reviews or ratings, whether by hand or by automated means, or use them to build a competing dataset or train a model;
• use bots, scripts or other automated tools against the site, or try to get around rate limits, bot checks or the sign-in system;
• attempt to access the admin panel, other users' accounts, or any part of the service you have not been given access to;
• probe, scan or test the site's security, or interfere with its normal operation;
• submit fake reviews, create multiple accounts to influence ratings, or accept payment from a provider to post about them without saying so;
• copy, frame or republish substantial parts of the site as if they were your own.

7.Our content and intellectual property

The site's design, text, logos, compiled comparison tables, ratings and the Filipinos' Choice methodology belong to Finsyal or its licensors. You may read, print and share individual pages for your own personal use, and you may quote short extracts with a clear link back to the source.

Rates, product names and trade marks belong to the respective providers; we use them to identify the products we compare and that use does not imply any endorsement or partnership.

8.Links to providers

Links to providers' websites are for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their terms, or how they handle your data. Once you follow a link, the provider's own terms and privacy policy apply.

9.How we make money

We never charge you to compare products, and ranking is not for sale. Where a provider pays us a fee for a referral, that arrangement does not change how products are ordered or rated on the site, and any such relationship will be disclosed.

10.Availability

We try to keep the site running and current, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it.

11.Suspension and closing your account

You can close your account at any time — ask us and we will delete it, along with the personal data described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may remove content that breaks them. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond, unless the breach is serious or we are legally prevented from doing so.

12.Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your reliance on information on this site, from a product you take out with a provider, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13.If part of these terms does not hold

If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not immediately enforce a right under these terms, that does not mean we have given it up.

14.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and disputes fall to the Philippine courts.
